Jimeng AI, which translates to “immediate dream,” is now available for download on the Apple App Store in China, following its initial release on Android and desktop platforms via local app stores.
Jimeng AI’s Capabilities
Jimeng AI stands out by providing users with advanced text-to-image and video generation features, similar to OpenAI’s Sora platform, which also uses GPT-based language models. Users can generate up to 80 images and 26 videos for free. For those needing more, a subscription option is available for 69 yuan (approximately $9.70) per month.
ByteDance’s Ongoing AI Developments
ByteDance continues to make strides in AI technology. The company recently introduced TikTok Symphony, an AI-powered tool that assists users in creating scripts, generating videos, and optimizing content for online ads. Additionally, TikTok has launched a generative AI chatbot named Tako, which provides answers to user queries and offers additional insights within the platform.
